LEAF Festival, Heat Love Flame, Bioregional and Cultural Archetypes

Bioreigonal cultual identity is a lofty thing perhaps.

Regions with mountains?

At the heart of the festival an effort-of-love man tended bonfire for allus – dancers, watchers, sitters, talkers, showers-off of our bodies, our selves, breathers of light, blowers of darkness, the darkness transforming to light in the magic interstitial matrices in the space between one exhale and the next ecstatic, circling dancer’s inhale.

Love takes tending. Intense, rivalrous, in-love tending of fire burning hot, the crazy ecstatic willingness to take the heat, perpetually, always hot, always roaring, tending the fire of our common Desire, feeding the deity of desire held in common, deity of longing, love, lust, heat.

Somewhere, on some other plane, is the entity of heat love flame, and she is kept burning and on fire by the communal flame around which all us dancers dance and drummers keep the beat. The fire fed by the man in the tending role, kept burning by the dancers and the common intention of dance, kept burning the love the dance the common entity of heat love flame.

Heat Love Flame ate royally here. Fed by the dancing of everyone.

Heat love flame requires effort – and the burning illuminates sprits, many pulsing bodies, firefly butterfly hawk raven bear deer snake raccoon squirrel bat wizard warlock sorceress queen horse mule human all the animals danced together.

Piedmont red clay bioregional consciousness. What was the Prechtel understanding from the Mayans of the midland way? What is the bioregional understanding of those people from within? Is it the land of waterfalls, the land of lakes? The land of towns of the Cherokee … the land of red clay draining enough (b/c of slope?), eroding enough (b/c of slope?), native to hardwoods ultimately, the white pine cutoff line, the sub-waterfall line, the mountain view places, the uplands as opposed to the coast, place of … and now I ask natives, Paul West, David Bradshaw. Academic homesteaders, social busy bodies, natives, adopted sons and daughters.

Archetypical immersions.

Blessed be and may we develop effective mind culture heart play understandings.
